Kwic is a barn favorite! He is everyone’s grab and go horse for practice, weekend showing or to hit the mountain preserve. He was lightly shown as a three-year-old in the Open futurities, where he consistently performed across all three events. Kwic has a solid, loose rein lead departure, smooth clean circles (that can be challenged) and an easy push button lead change. He is an extremely balanced loper that prefers to stay in frame. Kwic has a solid turn-around. His rundown is easy and straight; he pushes hard to the ground. This gelding would give a Ltd. NP rider the opportunity to continuously practice their maneuvers and build confidence in the show pen. He never misses a change and stands quietly between all his maneuvers.

If he could choose his career over, Kwic would definitely settle on the herd work. He is smart on a cow, crouches in the turn and never puts himself in a bad spot. He is extremely easy to prepare and can handle tough cattle with a cool head. Kwic would excel in the Non-Pro Boxing Derbies, especially at the affiliate level. He has a smooth move that is easy to ride, making the show experience fun, consistent and confidence-building.
We use Kwic on the ranch for starting colts, pushing cattle and riding out. He is the same, no-nonsense horse every single day. He has been hauled to some weekend cuttings, where he held cattle with some feel and honor. He is a low maintenance, easy gelding that would the perfect all-around family horse with the ability to go show on the weekends.
He is trainer owned, sound, gentle and as pretty as a sorrel gelding can be. He will be shown at the 2026 Western Derby in the Cowboy Class and the Level 1 Open Derby. The first person to try this horse will buy him.
