Taparita – 2016 14H Mare
Smart Lil Pepinic x Taparoo (Gallo Del Cielo x Docs Oak mare)
Who needs a cool weekend cutter, high school rodeo horse, or VRH / NRCHA partner? Rita is a very nice mare who was bred & raised at the Greg Ward ranch as a cow horse before coming up to Oregon. She was shown as a futurity horse, and a finalist in Reno. She has been shown in the boxing with some money won, and was patterned on barrels & poles in the past. Her previous owners did rope on her (video available).
This mare LOVES to cut and could be tuned up for NCHA classes, or show her now in the ranch cutting. Rita has had some time off from being a show horse and will need a tune up before going back to cowhorse or jumping into the VRH pen. This girl is very kind, not marish, does not want to buck / rear / etc. She is on the more sensitive & forward side.
This mare is very broke, stands for the farrier, hauls, ties, bathes, and clips. She can pack a bridle and knows all the things a performance horse should. She is a huge stopper, has a nice long trot, a clean lead change, big speed changes, a pretty turn around, and you can drop your hand down to cut on her. She has also been to the Mountain Trail course and enjoyed it, she will do all the water crossings without hesitation. Rita is fun to trail ride & ride outside as well.
Her dam, Taparoo (Gallo Del Cielo x Docs Oak mare), is an NCHA money earner, and has produced money earning siblings in the rodeo world. Her sire Smart Lil Pepinic needs no introduction.
We really like this mare and would discount her price if she stayed in the barn.
