Incredible HONEST cowhorse stallion
TRR Mr Irish Gin – $40,000
2015 AQHA bay stallion
Sired by Paddys Irish Whiskey | Bred by Tongue River Ranch | AQHA Ranching Heritage Eligible
This stallion is the real deal — bred by the legendary Tongue River Ranch, backed by proven cow horse blood, and already an accomplished show horse with money earned in multiple disciplines. He is eligible for the AQHA Ranching Heritage program and has earned money in Ranching Heritage classes in Fort Worth this year.
TRR Mr Irish Gin is incredible. He’s truly one of a kind, basically a gelding with testicles!
Performance Highlights:
Color Breed Congress All-Around Ranch Horse Champion
Pinto World Show Amateur Ranch Reining World Champion
NSBA Champion – Ideal Ranch Horse
Always places at the top in Ranch Rail classes — he will out-trot anything
Shown by Chris Ward in NRCHA Green Horse classes.
Originally trained as a reiner by Kyle Schurig. He’s a finished heel horse with a huge stop, trained by Gabriel Salgado. I shifted him to ranch riding when I relocated to Midland, TX.
He’s proven, kind, and uncomplicated enough for a non-pro, but fancy enough for a trainer to campaign. I purchased him as a 7-year-old and haven’t had the time to show him to his full potential due to balancing other horses in my program (still showing h/j and they take priority). His Pinto show record reflects the schedule flexibility I needed — not a limitation on his talent.
Stallion Notes
Strong prospect for breeding programs looking for versatility, brains, and stop. Works the breeding dummy with ease very easy to collect. 75 straws of frozen semen collected and stored — will transfer with sale or may be negotiated separately
Sired by Paddys Irish Whiskey, who has a proven record of siring both class and high-end trainability with champions in versatility ranch horse, reined cow horse, cutting, reining, calf roping, and team roping. Sire of 176 money-earners, $1,539,228. His daughters have produced more than $2,900,000 including an NRHA Open Futurity Champion and multiple AQHA and NRCHA World Champions. Bred by Tongue River Ranch. AQHA Ranching Heritage Eligible.
Out of a Tanquery Gin granddaughter. Tanquery Gin sired earners of more than $2.3 million, but may be better known as a great broodmare sire. His daughters have produced 266 performers with earnings of more than $3 million. Tanquery Gin also sired many top-notch ranch geldings. They had all the traits you would want in a ranch horse. They had stamina and athletic ability, they stayed sound, and everyone got along with them. When you look at the influence Tanquery Gin had on the Sixes program, he was really a dominant horse.
