(Travelin Jonez x Freckles Playboy dam)
Smarty is really honest in his rein work, he has always been a natural stopper. He wants to stay in his circles responsibly, and is very reliable in his speed changes. He hunts his stop, back up, and turn around nicely off his riders feet and has always been naturally supple in the bridle. He has a nice side pass, counter canter, and is starting to change leads.
This gelding has a great ability to rate his cow down the fence and stay soft even when things are fast. He is really natural in his circles, and cowy enough to have fun in the herdwork but quiet enough to still take care of his rider.
Smarty is very easy to get along with, he could fit very nicely into the Ranch or VRH events, NRCHA, roping, etc. He is extremely kind, honest, and hard working. 16 hh.
This gelding has been on the road all year and hauls like a dream, has been rode in lots of show warm up pens, turned back at cuttings, etc. He gets along with everyone he’s tied up & stalled next too, or happy to be tied at the trailer for the day. Absolutely no vices around the barn: ties, bathes, clips, etc.
At home he has been bringing cows in in all weather, working gates, etc. He crosses water, bridges, mountain trail obstacles, etc. Smarty also knows how to trot in hand and set up for halter! He has had a rope swung off of him, and drug logs with no problems. He gets a long with everyone in a herd environment.
He is up to date on vaccines, worming, dentals and has been meticulously maintained his whole life. Films Available
