Special Short Oak (Dexter) is a stout built 14.3 2017 registered AQHA blue-eyes gelding. Dex has impeccable breeding with Shorty Lena going back to Doc O’Lena on top and Gunner’s Special Nite going back to Colonel’s Smoking Gun on the bottom.
He has athleticism and head turning striking good looks. He got a great start with AQHA and NCHA Hall of Fame rider Bobby Lewis.

Dexter is versatile and intelligent, has been introduced to sorting/penning, and most recently been used as a turn-back horse in the cutting pen. He is cowy, super quick, and confident. Dex has a good one hand neck rein and huge stop that’s a plus for you calf or heal ropers. Saddle him up and ride him every day with a smile.
As a 4 yr old he was leading pack strings in the Uinta Mountains and ponying young and older horses through water and over bridges. He hasn’t shown any sign of fear when taking on new tasks.
